Forever 21 items that I’m loving right now

People often ask me where I have gotten something that I am wearing.  And a good 6 times out of 10 when they ask, it’s something from Forever 21.  Some people think it takes a certain level of fashion know-how to find the “goods” in a lower price point retail chain such as FXXI…but I would disagree.  I played a little game with my friend one time called “close your eyes and pretend”… My friend, who shall be called K for said story, was an avid Saks and boutique only shopper.  She told me she just couldn’t find things that didn’t look cheap at such a store but praised me on my abilities.  I told her this: “close your eyes and pretend you are at Saks and every piece of clothing you pick up is also in Saks.”  Seems silly I know, but you would be amazed at how suddenly the light bulb was on and she suddenly found herself tossing certain items to the discard pile and loading up another armful to head to the dressing room.  If you tell yourself it’s all cheap, well, then it’s no fun.  I, on the other hand, like to pride myself on finding adorable pieces of clothing that I am finding for a quarter of the price!  Now don’t get me wrong, I love a great pair of jeans or a beautiful, well made shoe as much as the next girl, but there are ways to shop on a dime if necessary, so why not try?  Clearly, it’s always best to try things on before taking them home and everyone knows what will work best for their specific body type so the rules vary a little.  But I love nothing more than getting an entire bag of cute trend items for a new season for around $100.  I also stock up on lots of fun accessories at FXXI.  See my new ring below!
